Most people tolerate PrEP pills well. 🧐
Some people may experience side effects such as an upset stomach, nausea, headache, or loss of appetite. These are usually temporary and often improve within 1–2 weeks.
Serious side effects are rare. However, PrEP can sometimes affect kidney function, which is why we perform creatinine testing—especially for people with existing kidney conditions. Severe allergic reactions are also very uncommon, but if you experience difficulty breathing, swelling, or a severe rash, seek urgent medical attention immediately. ☺️
